For more than a year WorkTime has been successfully used by the IT department of an internationally known mass media company (USA). While some of the employees work in the office, a number of them work from home, using company laptops. The supervisors of the IT department wanted to allow for a flexible working environment, while maintaining productivity levels, especially for employees working remotely.

In order to maintain high productivity levels in these more flexible circumstances, it was suggested that each employee create time sheets based on WorkTime monitoring results. The employees were granted a measure of control over the software, in that each had access to his or her own reports, and each employee could start and stop the monitoring program. Employees working at home could monitor their laptops as needed for their work, or they could stop the monitoring.
The Result
Using WorkTime, the IT department of the mass media company was able to maintain high productivity levels without losing the comfortable work environment and its flexible conditions. Employees with the help of WorkTime reports can build the time sheets easier, since now there is no need to remember all the work that was done during the week.
